Everyone is regretting their snap judgments that were made in last weekend's games and trying to figure out how this weekend will play out. Needless to say, we can all agree on the fact that DEFENSE wins games and I am a defensive guru who loves to recognize and learn new things about pass coverage, exotic blitz packages, zone defense, man to man, double coverage, as well as hot reads and protections. This weekend will be filled with lots of hard hitting action from some of the most aggressive defenses and you don't want to miss it! SG's weekly picks are in for this weekend's Conference Championship match ups and the "NFL Inside Wire Crew" is locked and loaded for another week of NFL action, great sports commentary, and comedy. Check it out and listen to your favorite NFL players, coaches, analysts, and my NFL Inside Wire crew and I at www.insidewiresports.com. Attached is an example picture of how BIG my smile will be this weekend after I get ALL of my picks right... Lol!
SG's Picks
AFC Confererence Championship
NY Jets vs. Indianapolis 3:00pm (CBS)
Winner: Indianapolis Loser: NY Jets
SG's Note: The NY Jets came out with a huge win in San Diego this past Sunday and proved to the football world just why they are one of the most agressive defenses in the league. They are great with disguising their schemes and will definitely try to force Peyton Manning to make bad decisions and take him out of his comfort zone. However, the Colts have been great at stopping the run all season and if they can force the Jets into 3rd and long situations where they will have to make plays downfield, then it will be a very long afternoon for Rex Ryan and his staff. Needless to say, Indianapolis is too powerful and dominant on both ends of the ball to and let's not forget that Peyton Manning always finds a way to win. Look for the Colts to WIN and make their reservations for Miami to the Super Bowl.
NFC Confererence Championship
Minnesota vs. New Orleans 6:40pm (FOX)
Winner: Minnesota Loser: New Orleans
SG's Note: If anyone knows anything about the type of running back that Reggie Bush is and his style of play, then you must know that he WILL NOT have another game like he did this past Saturday. I've been saying all season and I'll say it again, Reggie is still not ready to take his game to the next level because I don't think that he's serious enough about the game, his talent, and you never know what to expect from him week after week. Besides running the ball, Drew Brees is going to have to rely heavily on his wide receivers to get open in order to make the big plays that everyone is expecting to see. But lets not forget about Jared Allen leading one of the most fierce defenses in the league because the Vikings will be ready for the Saints. Minnesota is going to have to bring lots of pressure to Drew Brees early on during the game and not allow him to beat them in a foot race. Brett Favre will need to do what he does best in playing SMART and GREAT football in order to keep his offensive weapons in tact. So many people have very little faith in Minnesota and their ability to pull out a win in New Orleans but I am a believer and the Vikings will upset the Saints at home and WIN.
That's all for now!
